The accident rates have been going up in our country due to industrialization and rapid increase in the number of vehicles on our roads. These accident victims require timely and effective treatment preferably in the first golden hour. There are also medical emergencies like cardiac emergencies and poisoning which require immediate attention. With a view to address these problems we have started a separate department to improve patient care on the 2nd December 2007 inaugurated by honorable Health Minister Galla Aruna kumari.
